A Very Special Evening!

I organised a meal in this restaurant for my friend’s hen. I chose it initially because Frank, the owner was very passionate and personal on the phone when I was trying to organise it from another country. And the meal didn’t disappoint. The ambience was lovely, most people loved the food, but it was the kindness and the extra touches that the restaurant went to that made it one of the most memorable and special meals I have ever had. The future bride herself was made to feel a million dollars and nothing was too much for the staff. I’d absolutely 100% recommend this restaurant. Thank you for everything

Best Meal in Ireland

A hidden gem recommended by hotel reception. The place is small so reservations recommended. The owner himself, Frank took our reservation and is as friendly as can be. We had the early bird prix fix three course meal for 25 Euros. Each course was perfectly prepared and nicely presented. Frank checked on us throughout the meal and even posed with us for a picture. Highly recommended!

Hidden Delight

Petronella is on the delightfully named ‘Butterslip Lane’ – you couldn’t make it up! Ticks all the boxes, lovely welcoming staff, delicious food and a very good house red at a very good price. The building has stood since 1603, the very informative and friendly owner will inform you. Deep fried Brie simply the best I’ve had. Lamb rack with very tasty sides. All in all, I would heartily recommend this charming restaurant!
